Under the unforgettable backdrop of the mighty Julian Alps, the Kranjska Gora ski resort extends into the Triglav National Park with its southern edge. The lifts and slopes are linked by a system of 6 chairlifts and 13 ski lifts, along the slopes of the Vitranec up to Planica, at altitudes ranging from 800 m to 1,215 m above sea level. Another advantage of the Kranjska Gora ski slopes is their exceptional accessibility and diversity, from the slopes for complete beginners to the World Cup venue Vitranc. Above all, Kranjska Gora is known as a family ski resort, as from the base of the slopes you have an overview of all the less demanding tracks. The atmosphere at the foot of the slopes is complemented by a rich gastronomic offer. Kranjska Gora is known for its excellent ski school and quality instructors.
An ideal ski area for children and beginners, with sunshine for much of the day. The Velika Dolina ski resort is part of the Kranjska Gora ski resort system, but you can buy a ski pass for this part only, which is definitely welcome due to the lower price.
The Mojstrana Ski Resort is located on the northern side of the Mežakla slope. With sufficient snow cover, the season can last up to three months. It is a local ski resort, suitable for families. There, you can find a local ski school and a snow beach with a bar next to the track. It is forbidden to sledge on the ski slope.
The Višarje or Tarvisio - Monte Lussari ski resort has 25 km of groomed tracks at an altitude of between 760 and 1760 meters above sea level. With good snow conditions and an excellent location, the ski centre has developed over the years into one of the most modern ski centers in the Eastern Alps. The Višarje ski resort offers slopes of all levels of difficulty for beginners as well as for professional skiers. The ski slopes are always well groomed and are of the highest quality.
The Sella Nevea (Italy)-Kanin (Slovenia) ski area offers 30 km of tracks, the top of which is at 2,300 meters above sea level. There are 6 km of easy tracks, 22 km of intermediate tracks and 2 km of the most difficult track. Lift facilities include 3 gondolas, 4 chair lifts and 2 children's lifts.
On the Sella Nevea part of the ski resort, in good snow conditions, it is possible to ski all the way down to the valley, but this side of the ski resort is shaded until the end of February. The sun-bathed Kanin ski resort is open in good snow conditions from December until the first week in May. Ski passes for Sella Neveo are also available on the Slovenian side at an extra cost.
