GOZD MARTULJEK
Check the weather conditions from your apartment window and literally jump from your sofa onto the track across the road from the Trata Resort. The 1500 m long track runs on flat terrain and boasts a unique mountain view. It is also suitable for beginners. The Gozd Martuljek cross-country skiing trail is maintained whenever weather permits. Entrance is free.

RATEČE-PLANICA-TAMAR
Rateče is known as one of the most popular skiing and cross-country skiing resorts in Slovenia. The flat area near the border crossing has easier slopes in the fields and is also connected to slopes in neighboring Italy. Better-prepared cross-country skiers can head towards Planica and onwards to the beautiful Tamar valley, below the steep slopes of Jalovec and Little and Big Peaks of Mojstrovka mountain. The glaciated Tamar Valley is known for its exceptionally long winters and invites runners and skiers from December until April. There is also a cross-country skiing trail from Rateč past Podkoren all the way to Kranjska Gora, where part of the trail is also lit for night recreation. In total, there are over 30 km of cross-country skiing trails. The entrance fee or ski pass is valid for all slopes on the Slovenian side, for Italy you have to pay an extra fee.
